Jeevan-Selvah to remake Rajnikanth’s ‘Johnny’

Far-esteemed for making successful commercial flicks, duo combo “Jeevan-Selvah’ has proved their excellence with “Naan Avanillai’. Earlier, it was Kamal Haasan who endeavored with a sequel (Japanil Kalyanaraman) for the first time in Tamil film industry. Nearly after couple of decades, the duo combo Jeevan-Selvah are all set to strike with a sequel for “Naan Avanillai’.
Since 2008, there had been more buzzes regarding the remake of yesteryear blockbuster “Johnny’. Earlier reports stated that John of “Sachin’ fame, son of filmmaker Mahendran (director of Rajnikanth’s “Johnny’) would remake the film with Aarya in lead role.
Finally, it has been confirmed that director Selvah will remake the film with Jeevan in lead role. Reports stated that producers were keen on signing deal with Selvah, for his knack of handling remake scripts with perfection.
Filming for this remake will commence shortly after the completion of “Naan Avanillai-2′.
