‘Vettaikaran’ shooting to complete on September 15

So, here comes the great news for all the ardent fans of “Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay. Shooting for his upcoming Diwali release “Vettaikaran’ has reached the final schedule. According to filmmaker Babu Sivan, he has assured that the film’s shooting will be completed on September 15 followed by a song shot in foreign locations by October 1.
It has been revealed by closers sources that Hansraj Saxena of Sun Pictures has insisted the crew to complete the shooting soon, as they’re planning to release the film for Diwali.
Accordingly, director Babu Sivan has decreed two separate film units, so that production works would be completed at ease without any delay. Incisively, due to this last minute rush, the film’s audio launch has been postponed to next week.

Sun Pictures bags ‘Kanden Kadhalai’

With big projects “Vettaikaran’ and “Kanden Kadhalai’ lined-up for release, Sun Pictures acquires yet another flick “Kanden Kadhalai’. The film produced by Moser Baer Entertainment and Blue Ocean Entertainment is a remake of yesteryear Bollywood blockbuster “Jab We Met’.
According to producer Dhananjayan of Moser Baer, he admits that Sun Pictures was supposed to produce this film in collaboration with Moser Baer and Blue Ocean Entertainment. However now, the producers are much elated that the project has landed into safe and strong hands, for it will do wonders at the box office soon for the benefit of everyone, associated with the film.
Mr. Kalanidhi Maran, CMD of Sun TV Network, Mr. Hansraj Saxena, COO of Sun Pictures and the entire team at Sun Pictures have now started planning for the world-wide marketing and distribution for Kanden Kadhalai that would probably hit the screens lately by next month.

Vettaikaran’s Rs. 3 cr loss

The Vijay starrer Vettaikaran was being shot in the AVM Studios and an expensive set, costing around Rs. 3 crores, was erected for the purpose. A few scenes were shot at the sets but the unit was in for a rude shock this morning when they came to know that the sets were badly damaged in a fire accident. With this, the shooting of Vettaikaran has suffered a set back apart from the huge losses incurred by the team.
Produced by AVM Productions, the film is directed by Babu Sivan. Anushka pairs up with Vijay in this film.
